 Team Kaulberg
Congratulations to our Willy and Steph, NRC's fabulous Hoka rep, on their beautiful marriage. Here’s to many years of happiness for you two. | | NRC Makes Runner’s World NRC teamed up with the Naperville Park District to keep the south Naperville running path clear of snow for winter runs, and Runner’s World online picked up the story. And Better Health NRC customer and friend Noreen Stauffer made a commitment to running and in the bargain, lost 60 pounds and improved her health and energy! Over the years, Noreen tried to run and couldn’t “make it stick.” She struggled with just “getting the hang” of running and would lose motivation. Eventually, she began to put on weight and struggled with other health issues. “I was one of those people who thought I couldn’t lose the weight, but I realized I was not trying hard enough,” Noreen said. “I told myself I can’t give up. I needed to get started and make a commitment to just get moving.” Continue reading her story here. | | Brooks Running 101 and Mizuno Running 201 Begin In March Are you a fitness walker ready to take the next steps and become a runner? Or have you completed a 5k or two and are ready to tackle a 10k? NRC’s Running 101, sponsored by Brooks, or Running 201, sponsored by Mizuno, are for you. Both groups will follow a multi-week program that will finish with the Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals 5k or 10k on Saturday, June 6. Running 101 begins Saturday, March 21. The first two runs in the NRC Trail Run Series, presented by Adidas, were a sold out success, despite cold and snow. But don’t worry, there is still room for the March and April trail runs in this brand new series, so join us for the fun. Follow the links below for more details and registration. Sunday, March 15 - 8 to 10 miles at Swallow Cliff Woods in Palos Hills For details and registration, click here. Sunday, April 26 - Bear Trax 20K at Kettle Moraine State Forest For details and registration, click here. | | Another Runner Working Toward Her Dream Tiffany’s story inspired us here at NRC, and we’re hoping she inspires you, too. A high school senior, Tiffany has her sights set on college and a nursing career. Yet, despite being a below-knee amputee on her right leg since birth, she maintains an active lifestyle, playing badminton and other sports. Unfortunately, her current prosthetic leg is making it difficult to keep playing and running, and her dream is to get a new one. While Tiffany is on her way to reaching her goal, she could use a final push to help her out. For more on Tiffany’s story, follow the link here. | Don't forget to have fun out there! .JPG)
