Nike React Infinity Run 2 Shoe Review

The newest from Nike’s Run Fearless Project

The Nike React Infinity Run 2 is designed to give support to every runner while being a durable everyday option for any type of run. Made with Nike’s React Foam, said to be their most complete foam yet, it delivers a soft cushioned feel while being resilient, responsive, and balanced in weight.

The Infinity Run 2 offers a wider platform, enhancing the stability while also allowing for a naturally-guided roll off the big toe.

This shape is also called a “rocker” which helps the shoe propel you forward, providing support for all phases of the gate cycle - first contact with the ground, through forward roll, and into the final push off. This makes efforts easier on your feet, for both running and walking!  

The upper of the Infinity Run 2 is their flyknit material with built-in Flywire to securely lock in your foot. The back of the shoe comes with a plush heel collar and padded tongue for added comfort. Altogether this gives the shoe a secure, yet sock-like fit. 

The shoe is uniquely designed to give universal support to runners. This means that the shoe could essentially work for anyone. The guide rails around the heel, higher arch in the shoe, and the wider base of foam combine to allow for a ride everyone can enjoy.

The React Infinity Run 2 is designed to be an everyday trainer built to last through a lot of miles, making it a go-to option for any day. Not a runner? The soft foam and structure of the Infinity make it a supportive option that can keep you going all day, while the rocker motion helps take the workload off your feet.

Because the foam was so enjoyed by runners in the first version, all the changes come in the upper of the shoe with the shape, foam, and support staying the same from the first React Infinity Run. There is more padding in the heel, a better locked-in feel, and the Flyknit upper is slightly thicker.  With the addition of Flywire around the midfoot, a more traditional tongue, and an extra eyelet for lacing, these updates allow for that snug, secure fit from heel to toe. 

In our opinion,  if you enjoyed the first version of the Nike React Infinity Run, you’ll enjoy the update just as much. Likewise, if you’re looking for a supportive shoe with great cushioning, the React Infinity Run 2 could be a great fit. Come on in and try them on, we’d love to help you!
