Naperville Running Company & Nike Marathon Training Program

ALL PARTICIPANTS NEED TO SIGN A RUN WAIVER UPON ARRIVAL OF THEIR FIRST RUN SESSION.  PLEASE MAKE SURE TO DO SO!

Thursday Sessions- 6:30 PM 

Meet at Naperville Running Company.  3, 5, and 7 mile run groups will leave promptly at 6:30!  Click to view the running routes--> Running Routes   


Saturday Sessions- 6:30 AM

Meet at mile marker 5 on the Illinois Prairie Path.  (Click Here to view map) Group run will begin promptly at 6:30!  Saturdays will be long run days.  The course is an out and back route along the Illinois Prairie Path.  Drinks will be provided but please make sure to bring your own hydration as well!


Naperville Running Company Running 101 Program (PROGRAM FULL)

Are you a fitness walker who has always wanted to break into running? Check out NRC’s Running 101 (formerly Walk 2 Run). Running 101 will lead fitness walkers through a 10-week gradual, yet challenging program that will include running and walking intervals with the ultimate goal of running a 5K without walking! The “final exam” will be the 2011 Naperville Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 24.

The first Running 101 session will be on Wednesday, September 7, at 6:30 p.m. at NRC. No running or walking on that day, just information. After that, we will meet once a week on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at NRC and participants will be given a plan to follow the rest of the week. Cost for the program is $30, registration for the Turkey Trot is on your own.  If you can walk at a brisk pace for at least 30 minutes and have always wanted to be a runner, this is for you! 
Please note: Because of the high demand from new participants, graduates of NRC’s past Walk 2 Run programs are not eligible to participate in Running 101. We invite Walk 2 Run grads to join our running group on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. All running abilities are represented and welcomed!  Program limited to 15 participants.
